High School Girls:
The editorial team is responsible for the production of the magazine, which publishes quarterly. Member Time Commitment: 3-5 hours a week over a 3-5 month period of time.

Job Description

  • Determine themes for magazine issues 1 year in advance.
  • Review submissions and work with members to decide what will go into the magazine.
  • Copyediting
  • Proof reading
  • Communicate with submitters, inform those selected of next steps, gently inform those who were not selected for publication.
  • Possibly determine options for submissions not selected for publication in magazine. (Blog? Social Media?)
  • May have a part in determining design/layout.
  • Participate in recruitment of content contributions and Editorial Team members.
Ideal candidate

High school student who is on a career path for writing, art or photography. They are passionate about their craft and ideally, would be an excellent student in related subjects. Must have solid command of grammar and selected writing style guidelines. Candidate would be organized, emotionally mature, open minded, flexible and compassionate. She would also possess good communication skills and be a good team player.
