It was my friend Maya's 18th birthday! I thought it was a good picture of her, and she seemed super happy with her not-cake, aka just homemade brownies from her mom. She doesn’t like cake (who does?).

When you think about senior athletes, you generally think of people who are really dedicated and passionate about a sport they’ve played for much of their adolescent life
I started my senior year of high school a week ago! I can’t believe it’s already started, and I feel like I’ve been here a month already.
I was so scared entering my junior year. Everyone said that it was going to be the hardest year and to be ready. So I did everything I could to be ready.
One of the hardest parts about summer for me is not comparing myself to other people.
Yeah I said it, sometimes I do compare myself to other people.
Once you get into high school, I feel like life becomes a whirlwind of emotions, especially in May. For some, it’s their last month of high school and being a ‘kid’ while everyone else has to worry about AP tests and finals.
I hate people who only do things for their college applications.
Hate is a strong word but I think in this case it applies quite well.
Winter is HARD. Especially when you live in Illinois and the weather sucks.
Here are some of the things I’m looking forward to.
I feel like people care too much about their looks all the time. Whether it be online or in person, all I hear about is people hyperfixating on every inch of their body:
I don’t usually watch TV shows, only because I can’t handle the commitment to watch something. But when I get interested, I can’t get off my couch.
